Our goal

Our goal is plain: an immersive, interactive, AI-driven learning experience. Not a lecture to sit through, but a world to step inside — where you learn by talking, asking questions, and making choices, and where what you learn changes with what you do.

Press play, and hear the whole idea in one short conversation.

Listen to a NotebookLM ‘deep dive’ that explains the whole thing

This 11:48 NotebookLM deep dive is our starting point: two voices working through what the Mount Olympus Project is, why it exists, and how learning changes when you can talk back to the people — and the gods — in the story. Listen first, then step in.

The gods are still in residence

Zeus, Athena, and Plato are still in residence on Olympus. Each has a distinct voice, a distinct temperament, and a distinct way of seeing the world. Debate wisdom with Athena, challenge Zeus’s rule, and ask Plato the questions he has been asking ever since.

Learn the way Athens learned

Dialogue, not lectures

Athens did not learn by sitting still. It learned by talking — by asking, answering, objecting, and asking again. That is how this world works, too. You do not just read about the gods; you converse with them, discover their motives, and shape your own adventure.

The original questions

What is justice? What is wisdom? What makes a good life, and a good city? These are the original questions, and they are still open. Plato asks them here the way he asked them in Athens — and this time, you get to answer back.

A story you step inside

The myths are not behind glass here. They are a story you step inside, where ancient legends come to life and new stories are waiting to be told — and where your choices change what happens next.

What is the Third Chair?

Jessie beside the empty Third Chair

The Third Chair is the chair set out for you. In the research notebooks, the conversation is already going — sources on the table, competing viewpoints in the room — and the Third Chair is where you sit down, interrupt, ask a question, challenge an assumption, or add evidence of your own. You do not need to know AI, and you do not need to build anything. Bring a question; the sources are on the table.

The working company

This world is kept by a working company: Jessie, the assistant who keeps the record straight; Karellen, the overseer-commentator; Plato, who asks the questions; Ada Lovelace, the tinkerer; Mark Twain, the cynic; and Watson, the disciplined writer. Together they build, check, and argue over the work — and Steve himself sits in the Third Chair, too.

The gods, guides, and greeters on this site are AI guides. They speak from the project’s sources, not from Olympus, and they can get things wrong — check them against the originals, as we do.
